I currently train in Gore, and during an average training week I swim for eight hours, bike for ten, and run for three hours. My personal best swim time (1500m) is 17 minutes, and my best run time (10km) is 34 minutes. My favorite ITU race is Madrid, because it looks cool on TV. I have participated in the Academy Southland programme, and the Triathlon New Zealand Youth Academy.
The person who has had the most influence on my sporting career is my coach, Sid Cumming. My triathlon goals are to race as a professional on the world circuit and to compete at the Olympics and the World Championships as an elite. The biggest obstacle that I face is battling with constant injury and bad weather in Southland!
