Bio

In addition to spending time training at the C3 Caledon Triathlon Training Center, I currently live at home in Windsor, ON…my nickname is Freddo P Jones even though there is no logic or rationale as to why this is so…my sister Charlotte and I once dreamed of hosting a triathlon at my parents cottage to help promote health and fitness in our community—this dream has been realized and annually raises thousands of dollars for breast cancer research…my grandfather Johnny Loaring was an Olympic silver medalist at the 1936 Berlin Olympics and is considered to be one of Canada’s greatest track and field athletes of all-time…I was the recipient of the 1998 George Neal Award in Accounting at the University of Windsor…I won the 1999 Molson Canadian Embassy Rocks Contest and gave the grand prize to my older sister Charlotte in exchange for five fully prepared gourmet meals every year for the rest of my life…I once read the Guiness Book of World Records from cover to cover…I competed in the 2000 MIMC International Marketing Competition as part of a four person team representing the University of Windsor…my favourite place in the world is “the cottage”—my parents dream home along Lake Erie and just outside of Windsor, ON…I can’t remember the last time I went a day without eating meat…listening to Metalicca and Iron Maiden will keep me motivated through a winter of biking indoors…I dreamt of being a World Cup soccer star throughout childhood—that dream has evolved into the world of triathlon.
