There’s more than just racing...

While you are busy training and preparing for the upcoming World Championships we are also busy making sure this will be an event experience of a lifetime, on and off the course for you, your friends, family and supporters.

To ensure you make the most of your stay with us there are a number of ‘fun’ elements to the program you should not miss.

On Thursday 10 September the Opening Ceremony will be one of these highlights, it will include an Olympic like Parade of Nations, official welcome to all athletes and supporters, blessing of the land, followed by a traditional Aboriginal Dance performance all choreographed to lights and music.

Athletes will then walk back along the pathway entertained by a magnitude of performers that will delight you before enjoying our Say G’Day dinner. Sit back enjoy the taste of Australia while catching up with fellow athletes, hosted by our commentary team to inform you of the following days activities and be inspired by past world championship vision on the big screen.

During the five day program our Festival Village will be abuzz with 50 plus exhibitors featuring a huge range of sporting and lifestyle products. It will be the ultimate hedonistic triathlon display you’ll not forget.

The event village is the place to hang out, soak up the atmosphere or grab a bite to eat from the array of quality food outlets.

When all the racing and shopping is done – it’s time to party at the Great Aussie Barbeque (Athlete Farewell Party), includes presentations for Olympic/Sprint distance, live band, AV presentation and a few surprises.
