triathlonscotland is a burgeoning national governing body responsible for triathlon and multisports in Scotland.  Our focus for the next 8 years will be to develop our membership and events calendar, to include a World Championships in 2010, and build a successful team to compete and deliver at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, where triathlon will feature as the opening sport.  We now wish to appoint a fulltime Chief Operating Officer to lead and develop the governing body in line with its strategic plan.  triathlonscotland’s offices are based in Stirling.

Salary: £33k - £37k

The successful candidate will:

* Lead the development of triathlonscotland
* Manage staff and support the contribution of volunteers
* Liaise with and develop partnerships with key external partners
* Manage operations, procedures, finance projects and income generation
* Communicate and promote the aims of the organisation internally and externally

Applicants must be qualified to degree level or equivalent and be able to demonstrate considerable management experience. Sound organisational, planning, communication and interpersonal skills are essential.  Knowledge of triathlon or other sports is desirable.
