World Triathlon Women's Committee announces 2023 Award of Excellence

World Triathlon Women’s Committee today has announced the 2023 Award of Excellent. The award took place took place at a gala dinner in Pontevedra, Spain, the city that is hosting the 2023 World Triathlon Championship Finals this week.
World Triathlon established the Women’s Committee Award of Excellence to identify and recognise individuals or organisations that have made outstanding contributions to the involvement of women and girls in the sport, at a grassroots level. This year, World Triathlon selected and presented Jude Jamboom of Saudi Arabia with the Women’s Committee Award of Excellence award.
This year there were a variety of strong submissions featuring inspiring women from all around the world. The World Triathlon Women’s Committee alongside a panel of external experts, reviewed the submissions and confirmed Jude Jamjoom as the winner of the 2023 World Triathlon Women’s Committee Award of Excellence.

“It is a great honour and and a pleasure to present the Women’s Committee Award of Excellence tonight on this very special occasion, the Hall of Fame celebration. This year, as Chair of the World Triathlon Women’s Committee, I am very proud to present an excellent woman role model. You will marvel at the strong impact she has made and the inspiration that she has given. A lawyer and employee of an investment company by profession and a founding member of a regional Triathlon club, the Jeddha Tribe, she energetically organises Kids Triathlons and Mixed Relay events in addition to regular events, to involve more girls and women including athletes’ mothers and sisters in Triathlon in her region. With this recognition of her profound development skills, she was welcomed as Vice President of her National Federation upon its inception in 2021.
She has also been proactive in providing opportunities across her country for athletes, coaches and TOs organising workshops and webinars. She conducts webinars for universities. Women’s Schools to introduce the concept of the sport of Triathlon. Her special efforts also put on how she can make a comfortable environment for girls and women to do Triathlon in a society where social awareness is varied. Nowadays, out of the finalists of the national competitions, girls from Jeddha Tribe make up 80% of their participation. As the NF Vice President, she helps support Triathlon communities in various cities across the country, by making the best use of her experience and expertise that she brings through the Jeddha Initiatives.
Her story must be full of inspiration for everyone. Without further ado, let me introduce her to you!
