Bio

Rahul is a multitalented sporting athlete, with 2 podium finishes from 3 appearances at the International Triathlon UnionWorld Aquathlon Championships, winning gold and silver in Canada and Denmark in 2017& 2018. At the 2019 SingaporeMetasprint Aquathlon he beat more than1,000 athletes in winning the Champion of Champions trophy as well as 2 othertitles. He is a 3-time Australian national champion in the event for the 19&U including winning the event outright in Townsvillein August 2019, becoming the youngest ever athlete to take the overall win at the nationals. He’s also represented Australia5 times at the Youth Scrabble World Championships, finishing 25th in the world in 2017 and taking the award for the 2ndbest placed Australian in 2017 and in Dubai in 2018.Rahul also won the 2015-2016 WA Open Water race series (8 gold medals, undefeated) and qualified for the NationalChampionships in Open Water Swimming and Cross Country Running in 2016, 2017 & 2018. He is also undefeated in theAquathlon discipline across the Open/Elite Division in all races in WA going back more than 4 years across more than 47races. He also broke the all time open age record at the 20th anniversary of the Coogee Jetty to Jetty Swim in the 750m,retaining his title in 2017.He was won the 2019 WM Nunn Bursary, awarded once each year to a 1st year student at UWA, adept at multiple sportsdisciplines in honour of Wally Marshall Nun
