Netherlands’ Geert Schipper suffered a spinal cord injury in a flying accident in 2004. Since then he has gone on to be the founder of Sportisleven, which organises sport clinics and adventure trips for disabled people. He made his paratriathlon debut in 2014 at the Netherlands National Championships, and has since gone on to be a regular on the podium at the biggest events, including silver at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games and gold at WPS Yokohama in 2019.
